An inhouse design and build scheme that incorporated the client requirements of an external office space, bike storage, garden utility space and a replacement deck area. This was a particularly awkward site, bounded on 3 sides and encompassing a large tree with a TPO that required special attention to protect the roots, a sloping site that restricted the height of the building and fire protection to all boundaries.
We carried out the design process working closely with the client on their requirements, including planning approval and relevant building regulations and then the build process. The design included seamless cedar cladding to minimise the visual impact of the doors and ventilation openings and the interior was clad in birch ply with visible joints and invisible fixings.
